About me

On leaving school I served an engineering apprenticeship in Hydraulic engineering, I stayed with that for 15 years, then moved into financial services. Following eight years working with a few companies, I set up my own Independent financial adviser firm and remained with that until I retired in 2020.

I started in photography a little later in life, 2017, It’s been a steep learning curve, however photography is based around numbers and calculations, the engineering background gave me a good understanding of the camera quite quickly. Its been said I'm obsessed with electric guitars and photography but in honesty its far worst than that!

My photography as you can see is not specific to any particular genre, I’m always looking for ways to learn new styles and techniques, I also shoot stereoscopic (three dimensional photography) using two Sony A6400 cameras synced together, unfortunately this cant be viewed on this site.

After 30 years working in finance I have now retired and this is how I’m spending my time

“The journey is just as important as the destination”
