Kingfisher Corner
While shooting the hydrogen train project I got chatting to a nature photographer who was showing me some images on his phone, among them were very nice kingfisher shots with nice clean backgrounds. I mentioned I’d like to give them a try, he toom my phone and marked the location in google maps where to park and which paths led to the makeshift hide. I didn’t think it was going to be that easy, but a few days later I’m parked up and heading through foliage up to my waist through this West Lothian wasteland, after a fair bit of looking I found the concealed hide. Location was superb and free ! I got set up and sat for a while … yes there was even a comfy barstool, first day was ok but the next time I sat from 6.00am till 10.00 I was about to pack up when two arrived and hung around for 15 minutes or so. It was definitely worth the wait.
